Research Method

Our research for Retro//VRS included surveys and interviews for direct user insights, and a literature review for an understanding of market trends and Web3 technologies, forming a solid base for our marketplace design.
Our UX Research Result gave us insights about what our users expect and concern, and we learnt about their favorite features in luxury online marketplace.

Design process

Key opportunities for Retro//VRS lie in enhancing user trust, promoting sustainable fashion, and fostering a community around collecting luxury items.

1. Establishing a reliable communication base is crucial; clear, consistent communication will build trust and a sense of community among users.
2. Emphasizing sustainable fashion aligns with the growing trend of conscious consumerism, especially relevant as users are making significant investments in luxury items.
3. Nurturing a social aspect where users can showcase and track their collections adds value.

This not only creates a unique user experience but also taps into the joy of watching one's investment grow, making the platform more engaging and interactive.

Design Process

Our design process for the Retro//VRS marketplace was methodical and user-centered, starting with a storyboard to visualize the user's journey. This helped us empathize with potential customers and map out key interactions. From there, we developed a user flow diagram to outline the steps a user would take while navigating the platform, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience. The creation of a site map followed, laying out the structure and hierarchy of the website. Next, we crafted low-fidelity wireframes, which provided a basic visual representation of the interface and facilitated early testing and feedback. Finally, these elements were refined into a high-fidelity prototype, offering a realistic preview of the final product and allowing for more detailed user testing and iteration.
